The PLEX-ID system is available as a stand-alone system for use with existing sample preparation technology or as part of a total solution that includes the following components:
- A PLEX-ID bead beater to break cell walls for DNA or RNA extraction
- A PLEX-ID SP system for automated nucleotide extraction
- A PLEX-ID FH system for transfer of sample extracts to well plates
- A PLEX-ID TC Thermocycler for PCR amplification in 96-well plates
The PLEX-ID SP system comes standard with protocols for use with the PLEX-ID system. Additional PLEX-IT software can also be purchased to be able to program the system for use with other protocols.
