PLEX-ID Mycoplasma Detection Assay
The PLEX-ID Mycoplasma Detection Assay is a non-diagnostic assay designed to detect and identify mycoplasma as well as thousands of other bacterial adventitious species as single organisms or mixtures directly from sample or isolate, through nucleic acid amplification and subsequent base composition analysis.
| Name | List No. | Quantity |

| Clean-up Reagents | 04N77-01 | Reagents 1,2,3 |
Bead particles, clean-up reagents, dilution buffer, and polymerase are required but not included and must be ordered separately
The PLEX-ID Mycoplasma Detection Assay consists of:
- 10 Plates (120 Assays)
- Plate Processing Protocol
Positive, negative, or extraction controls are not provided.
PLEX-ID Buffer B (07N57-01) needs to be ordered separately.
The PLEX-ID Mycoplasma Detection Assay uses eight primer pairs in eight wells to detect and identify:
- More than 80 species from the Mycoplasma genus
- Mollicutes such as Acholeplasma or Entomoplasma
- Bacterial adventitious agents such as Bacillus, Staphylococcus, Propionobacterium and other species
Unknown organisms detected with novel base composition signatures are reported according to the closest known species in the PLEX-ID database.
